Ajarn Chanvit has master degree in Accounting and Finance from Central Queensland University in Australia and started his teaching career at Rajabhat University in Chiangmai as a part time instructor. In 2012 October, he came to Payap as full time instructor where he now takes care of administrative work as the head of the HIM Department. For first two years of Payap, he commuted to Bangkok during the weekends to complete the second master degree in Hotel and Tourism Management in addition to the accounting that he completed in graduate school in Brisbane, Australia. Meanwhile, he was also involved in the cooperative research in the field of revenue management with the union of registered hotel in Ampur Muang District, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Its first phase of the research was presented in “Payap Research Symposium” conference on January 2015 and this research is currently being extended to the second phase.

Ajarn Chanvit also has hands on experience of being the club receptionist in the VIP lounge at the Chedi Hotel, Chiang Mai which is called Anantara Chiang Mai Resort at the moment. The job mainly involved reception tasks, handling food and beverage, selling tour excursions for two years. While he studied in Australia, he also worked in the restaurants serving, assisting the cook and also the plating the dish. Ajarn Chanvit who have constantly worked and studied at the same time realizes that it is important for students to find which hospitality and tourism businesses truly interest them so that they have the expert skills to the path they designed. Thus, his top priority is to offer students various workshop, seminar and filed trips extra from classroom lectures for HIM students to realize both the needs of oneself and the market. Furthermore, HIM has the broad network of people working in various sectors in the hospitality and tourism industry such as in hotels, air-lines and travel agency to whom Ajarns can recommend Payap students for internship and job opportunities in the future.
